Publication | Antipode Virtual Issue on Israel/Palestine | with contributions from Alexandra Rijke and Claudio Minca

Antipode has long published radical geographical scholarship on Palestine/Israel. In this virtual issue, several articles, amongst them one written by Alexandra Rijke en Claudio Minca, are made available to a wider audience in support of those scholars and activists who witness, live with, and resist the ongoing occupation and Israeli apartheid, and those who stand in solidarity with them.

Alexandra Rijke and Claudio Minca’s open access paper, “Inside Checkpoint 300: Checkpoint Regimes as Spatial Political Technologies in the Occupied Palestinian Territories” (2019), takes us to the “land of the checkpoints”, the Occupied Palestinian Territories, employing a combination of participant observation, in-depth interviews, and “go-along” interviews to explore the everyday experience of coping with and responding to the Israeli state’s “architecture of occupation”. Read more about the paper and watch Alexandra talking about it in a following video: https://antipodeonline.org/2019/04/17/inside-checkpoint-300/
