About Mary Lawhon
Mary is a Senior Lecturer of Human Geography at the University of Edinburgh. Her work falls into two key themes. The first is theorising and rethinking urban infrastructure in the global south, most recently building on the notion of heterogeneous infrastructure configurations to advance the idea of ‘modest infrastructure’. The second is political ecologies of the future, including the new co-authored book Enough! A Modest Political Ecology for an Uncertain Future (with Tyler McCreary).

About Nate Millington
Nate Millington is senior lecturer in the Department of Geography at the University of Manchester. His research focuses on the relationships between the climate emergency, infrastructure, and inequality in contemporary cities. He has considerable research experience in Brazil and South Africa, and his current project explores how the concept of repair can offer insight into contemporary urban dynamics and possibilities.
