Tomโ€™s research explores how privileged groups in the Netherlands cultivate hope through collective political action. Through case studies of Extinction Rebellion Netherlands, The Court for Intergenerational Climate Crimes, and Scientists 4 Future Wageningen, his work sheds light on the role of activism, art, and academia in shaping alternative futures.

By bridging insights from climate activism, climate justice, and prefigurative politics, this thesis contributes to understanding how movements create tangible pathways for systemic change.

You are warmly invited to join this event and be part of an inspiring discussion on hope, activism, and the fight for a just climate future!
