What stories about women’s contributions to science, study, and society are hidden in the streets of Wageningen?
Instead of gathering for a lecture, we invite you to walk the talk together during a special Women’s History Walk through downtown Wageningen.
📅 Friday 12 June
🕑 14:00–15:30 (weather permitting)
📍 Starting point: in front of Vismu Mundi (Old Aula), Wageningen
Our guide will be gender historian Margreet van der Burg, lead author of Vrouwen, Wageningen en de Wereld. Wetenschap, studie en loopbaan, 1918–2003 (“Women, Wageningen and the World: Science, Study and Career, 1918–2003”), written together with Marian Bos-Boers and 40 former WU students and scientists.
Along the way, Margreet will share the fascinating stories behind key addresses in Wageningen’s city centre and reflect on women’s roles in academia and society across generations.
After the walk, we’ll continue the conversation over tea together at Thuis.
🔗 Registration required: register here
👥 Maximum number of participants: 15
