Fourteen Frontiers of System-Change Innovation that Commoners Are Developing
The commons paradigm is widely seen as a powerful vehicle for economic, social, and political transformation in a world marked by multiple structural crises. But what kinds of experimentation and strategic innovation are commoners actually pursuing today – and how might these initiatives make a difference?
In this session, David Bollier, Director of the Reinventing the Commons Program at the Schumacher Center for a New Economics (US), will offer a brief overview of fourteen broad areas in which activists, thinkers, and project leaders are developing new logics and practical approaches for meeting people’s needs outside of the capitalist market/state system.
