Social Networks and Processes

Social networks, the people an individual interacts with, and social processes, the interactions between people, are increasingly studied across different social sciences disciplines. Within this cluster, we are interested in exploring social networks and processes as determinants of health (e.g. as a stress buffer), behavior, (e.g. exercise), life chances (e.g. socio-economic status) and beliefs (e.g. political orientation). We also are interested in understanding how and why different groups interact differently. For instance, why might one set of actors be in conflict, while another reaches consensus? Ultimately, we are interested in exploring social networks and processes from an interdisciplinary angle, and welcome researchers who study social networks from a variety of perspectives.
